A police officer in Kasiya, Lilongwe, is holding Jackson Cement, a 19-year-old from Kapudzama village in the Khongoni area, on charges of killing his older brother, Gezamu Cement, who was 30 years old.
According to Kasiya Police spokesperson Constable Mercy Chitonde, the two individuals were drinking alcohol on July 24 when an argument erupted for unknown reasons.
Jackson, feeling overpowered, used a wooden plank and a stone to fatally assault his brother Gezamu.
Chitonde stated that Jackson is expected to appear in court soon to face charges of manslaughter.
