United Transformation Movement (UTM) Youth Director for Central Region Luke Mkandawire has resigned from his post and the party with immediate effect.
The resignation comes barely a month after the death of the party leader Dr. Saulos Chilima in a plane crash together with eight others.
Mkandawire has confirmed of the development in a letter addressed to the party’s Secretary General Patricia Kaliati seen by this publication.
In the letter, Mkandawire has cited personal reasons as the main cause of his resignation.
According to Mkandawire, he now want to concentrate on his personal development.
