Bon Kalindo Announces Nationwide Protests on August 8, 2024

Malawi First Party, led by Bon Kalindo, has announced plans to hold demonstrations in all major cities across the country on August 8, 2024.
Kalindo stated that this decision was made after a ten-day period during which they petitioned the government to address issues such as passport issuance, the imposition of new taxes (stamp duty), and the arrest of individuals for political reasons.
Kalindo is urging the public to participate in the demonstrations to push for changes in the country.
As of now, the government has not yet responded to this matter.
