Fatal road accident in Kasungu has claimed the life of driver and injured eight people after the car they were in overturned.
Spokesperson for Kasungu Police Joseph Kachikho has confirmed the sad development and said the accident occurred yesterday on August 1, 2024.
Kachikho has identified the driver as Webson Munthali, who lost control of the car due to over speeding.
“The accident happened at a shopping center called Mposa, on the side of the M1 road.
“A Voxy Saloon car with number LL 9899 is going from Kasungu to Mzimba”, said Kachikho.
Kachikho also said that, it was carrying 9 people and it rolled due to high speed when it reached Mposa.
Munthatli was pronounced death the district’s main hospital due to serious injuries.
