Police in Blantyre have arrested four individuals suspected of being involved in a robbery that saw items worth over 16 million kwacha stolen. The heist, which occurred at the Kristwick business premises of Esther Maliro, included seven sets of computers and a Toyota Sienta.

Micah Nthere, the second deputy public relations officer for Blantyre Police, stated that the robbery on the night of July 23 involved suspects who overpowered five security guards.

The arrested suspects—Noel Benedict (39), Rojas Shaba (54), Charles Chalunda (54), and Jesma Kachapa (40)—have been linked to the crime, with Benedict and Shaba identifying themselves as part of a larger gang previously involved in thefts at Agro-Sack and Zathu.

The police are actively working to locate additional suspects and recover the remaining stolen items.
