Former Democratic Progressive Party (DPP) Vice President for Central Region Uladi Mussa and her predecessor Zelia Chakale have all endorsed President Dr. Lazarus Chakwera ahead of the Malawi Congress Party (MCP) elective conference set for this week.

The ruling Malawi Congress Party (MCP) is scheduled to hold its elective conference from 8th August at Bingu International Conference Centre (BICC) in the capital Lilongwe and Chakwera is scheduled to contest on the post of Presidency in the party.

Speaking during a media briefing Mussa who was franked by Zelia Chakale and the woman behind ‘Angwazi Sendela’ hit song, Agnes Chimbalanga pleaded with the delegates to vote for Chakwera at the convention.

The trio said Chakwera’s leadership has demonstration that it is capable of transforming the country.

Chakwera once elected will be MCP’s torchbearer in the forthcoming 2025 polls.
