Information reaching this publication indicates that veteran politician Chatinkha Chizanja Nkhoma has been barred from contesting on any position at the convention of the Malawi Congress Party (MCP).
The party is accusing Chizanja Nkhoma of breaking the party’s “four corner stones” after she was captured in the video burning MCP regalias.
Chizanja Nkhoma is yet to comment on the matter.
The party is scheduled to hold its elective conference starting from August 8 2024 at Bingu International Convention Centre (BICC) in the capital Lilongwe.
