Police in Salima arrested Matthews Daimon (31) for possessing medical drugs without authorization.

Salima Police spokesperson Rebecca Ndiwate reported that Daimon was apprehended on Tuesday after being accused by local residents of storing drugs in his home in Chiphala village, Senior Chief Kalonga’s area.

Ndiwate said, “Our police, upon receiving this information, went to Daimon’s residence. After conducting a search of his home, they found 31 packets of Tetracycline, 12 packets of Indocid, 800 packets of Amoxicillin, and Panadol.”

Daimon failed to provide documentation proving he was authorized to possess these medications, so he was arrested on the spot.

Daimon, who hails from Moya village in Senior Chief Kalonga’s area, will appear in court soon.
