Chipani Cha Pfuko’s (CCP) leader, Aaron Davies Chester Katsonga, has submitted his nomination papers for the post of Presidency in the May tripartite elections.

Katsonga, a brother to PPM’s leader who submitted his papers yesterday, has picked one Godfrey Matenganya as his running mate to the polls.

After presenting his papers, Katsonga expressed his fears over the manner the elections are conducted citing that rigging is a routine occurrence especially due to darkness that sets in with the counting of votes.

He, therefore, prayed for a free and fair election from the Malawi Electoral Commission (MEC).

Earlier, Katsonga had announced that his party had agreed that they were willing to go into an alliance with another party but it appeared his dreams failed to materialise.

He had hinted that it was only an alliance of UDF, MCP and his CCP that had the power of wrestling power from the current PP.
