First Grade Magistrate Court in Neno has ordered a 27 year-old man, James Ngwindima. to serve 6 years in prison for burglary and theft.
The state told the court that, the convict had broken into three houses and stolen various goods.
When he appeared at the court, Ngwindima admitted that he had indeed done all the suspected crimes.
He asked the court to take pity on him by giving him a lighter sentence saying that he is helping his family.
But First Grade Magistrate Margret Khobidi agreed with the state that Ngwindima deserves a strict punishment so that others can learn from it.
James Ngwindima hails from the Mbilizi village Traditional Authority Mlauli in the district.
