St. Patrick’s Parish in the Archdiocese of Lilongwe is this coming Saturday, August 17, 2024 going to hold a mass in honour of late former Vice President Dr. Saulos Chilima who died in a plane crash together with 8 others on June 10, 2024.
Chilima, a devoted catholic used to pray at the church and even during the day of the plane crash he attended the morning mass.
The church has confirmed of the development in a program made available to this publication, saying the memorial mass will start with a Way of The Cross from 12:30pm.
The Way of the Cross will be led by Divine Mercy Chaplet, a grouping which Chilima belonged to.
This will be followed by Eucharistic Mass Celebration, according to the program.
Chilima’s death continues to raise more questions than answers with some suspecting foul play.
