Chikondi Banda, a 19-year-old young man, along with some of his accomplices, has been accused of stealing motorcycles in Kasungu and Lilongwe districts.
The Deputy Police Spokesperson for Kasungu, Miracle Hauli, stated that Banda is currently under arrest.
Hauli mentioned that Banda was found in possession of a Lifan brand motorcycle, which he admitted to having stolen along with his accomplices from Area 25 in Lilongwe.
According to Hauli, Banda narrowly escaped the hands of a gang who killed two of his accomplices in Lilongwe while they were attempting to steal a motorcycle.
Banda hails from Kapawala village, under the leadership of Chief Suza in Kasungu district.
