Faceofmalawi has established that the Tonse Alliance government of President Dr. Lazarus Chakwera has changed seat-covers of chairs in the August House.
This has been confirmed this afternoon following the commencement of Parliamentary deliberations in the August House in the capital Lilongwe.
Initially, seat covers were blue in colour and some lawmakers linked it to the colour of the opposition Democratic Progressive Party (DPP) regalia.
The MPs said that they were not comfortable with the colours.
Meanwhile, government has changed the seat-covers color to that of the national flag.
Speaker of the National Assembly Catherine Gotani Hara has confirmed of the changes during announcement in the August House.
Deliberations are currently in progress.
