The University of Malawi (UNIMA), formerly known as Chancellor College is this coming Wednesday, August 28, 2024 scheduled to confer Honorary Degree of Doctor of Philosophy in International Affairs and Diplomacy (Honoris Causa) to Mozambique President Filipe Nyusi.
The development comes barely two weeks after the Joaquim Chissano University in Mozambique also honored President Dr. Lazarus Chakwera with a honorary degree in an International Cooperation and Development for his strategic thinking and adopting external policies to develop synergies with neighbouring countries.
UNIMA Registrar Martin Matululu has confirmed of the development in a statement dated August 26, 2024 made available to this publication.
According to Matululu, the function will be held at Great Hall in Zomba and President Dr. Lazarus Chakwera will be in attendance.
