As the road to 2025 polls is getting hot each passing day, the opposition Democratic Progressive Party (DPP) has made few changes into the party hierarchy.
Former President Peter Mutharika who is also leader of the party has appointed Member of Parliament for Machinga Central East Constituency, Daud Chikwanje, as regional governor for Eastern region.
He replaces Emran Mtenje who is now the Presidential Advisor.
DPP spokesperson Shadreck Namalomba has confirmed of the development in a statement made available to this publication.
According to Namalomba, the appointments are with immediate effect.
