Democratic Progressive Party (DPP) Member of Parliament for Thyolo Thava constituency Mary Navicha who is also Director of Women on Tuesday invaded the August House in the capital Lilongwe putting on very expensive dress of all time.
This was revealed after Malawi Congress Party (MCP) member of Parliament for Dedza Central East Constituency Joshua Malongo who accused Navicha of putting on night dress.
The accusation attracted condemnation from the first Deputy Speaker of Parliament Madalitso Kazombo, saying the act is not tolerated in the chamber.
On her party Navicha denied putting on a night dress, saying she bought the dress at a cost of 350 US Dollars which is equivalent to MK857,500.
She went further to claim that her fellow lady MP from Senegal bought it for her.
