According to police in Dowa, a 43-year-old Congolese national named Kamavance Ammy, who lives at the Dzaleka refugee camp, has been arrested for allegedly selling a counterfeit beverage called Tam Tam.

Alice Sitima, the spokesperson for the Dowa police, stated that the suspect was apprehended today following a complaint from the company that produces the drink. She mentioned that the police discovered that the beverage in question was different from the one produced by the company, which led to Ammy’s arrest.

According to Sitima, the accused, who has been charged with selling counterfeit goods, will appear in court tomorrow in the district.
