Information reaching this publication indicates that a preliminary report on the cause of the plane crash that claimed the lives of late former Vice President Dr. Saulos Chilima, and 8 others on June 10, 2024 has been released to the public.
The development follows a pressure from Malawians after it was revealed that investigators from Germany handed over the report to President Dr. Lazarus Chakwera a long time ago.
According to a report seen by this publication, the report claim that the plane carrying Chilima did not arrive in Mzuzu as earlier reported.
The report also claim that there was not recorded information regarding the communication between the pilot and civil aviation team at Mzuzu airport.
