The Democratic Progressive Party (DPP) has appointed Everton Chimulirenji as the party’s Presidential Advisor on Campaigns. This is stated in a document signed by Shadreck Namalomba, the party’s spokesperson.

Others appointed as advisors include Clement Mwale, George Chaponda, Chimwemwe Chipungu, Charles Mhango, Dyton Mussa, and Aaron Sangala. These appointments were made shortly after the party elected new senior officials.

Peter Mutharika, the party leader, had previously chosen Chimulirenji as his deputy in the 2019 general elections, a decision that was overturned by the court in 2020 due to irregularities.

The newly appointed DPP officials have the task of wooing voters and bringing the party back into power as the 2025 general elections draw near.
