The United Democratic Front (UDF) spokesperson, Aisha Mambo, who is also chairing the party’s upcoming convention, has announced that the convention will take place from October 2 to October 3 this year.

Mambo made the announcement during a UDF press briefing today in Blantyre, where she also outlined the eligibility rule for those wishing to contest.

She stated that only members who have been in the party for at least five years are eligible to contest for various positions.

The party has emphasized that the purpose of the upcoming convention is to elect new leaders who will help the party win the elections scheduled for next year.
