The People’s Party (PP) has announced that it will hold its major conference at the end of this week in the city of Lilongwe.

According to a statement signed by Peter Kamange, the chairman of the organizing committee, the party expects to host up to 1,100 delegates.

The conference will take place over two days, on Friday the 6th and Saturday the 7th. Kamange has praised the party members for their dedication, especially for their efforts to ensure the smooth running of the event.

He noted that many members have shown keen interest in competing for various positions.

So far, the Malawi Congress Party (MCP) and the Democratic Progressive Party (DPP) have already held their major conferences, with the United Transformation Movement (UTM), United Democratic Front (UDF), and PP scheduled to hold theirs soon.
