Scorchers striker Tabitha Chawinga has become the first local footballer to be nominated for the prestigious Ballon d’Or award.
The awards committee has released the full list of footballers nominated for this year’s award.
She is the first Malawian to be nominated for the accolade.
Chawinga won the 2023 French Women’s footballer of the year.
She also won the golden Boot award with 18 goals for Paris Saint Germain.
