Flames team captain John CJ Banda has announced that he is considering retiring from international football after the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON).
Banda made this statement yesterday while discussing how the players are preparing for today’s match against Burundi at the Bingu Stadium in Lilongwe.
The UD Songo midfielder from Mozambique said he is contemplating this decision to give younger players a chance to showcase their skills.
This afternoon, the Flames will take on Burundi in the TotalEnergies Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) qualifiers at Bingu Stadium.
