Today starts another pivotal chapter for the People’s Party (PP) as their national convention unfolds at Crossroads Hotel in Lilongwe.
PP spokesperson Ackson Kalaile reported that preparations for the event have proceeded without a hitch.
“Delegates have started arriving from across Malawi, with some having reached yesterday. We expect all participants to be in by lunch hour today,” he said in.

Kalaile also revealed that several key positions, including that of party president, will go uncontested during the two-day elective conference.

The officials elected during this convention will be responsible for leading the party over the next five years and through the 2025 general elections.
