As one way of celebrating the birth of Prophet Muhammad “peace be upon him”, Muslims from Blantyre will this coming Sunday, September 8, 2024 donate assorted food items to 2000 patients admitted at Queen Elizabeth Central Hospital (QECH) worthy MK100 million.
This year’s Ziyarah Parade Coordinator Mohammed Aboo revealed this during a media briefing held in Blantyre on Friday.
In the interview Aboo said apart from the donation, there will be career guidance on Monday, September 9, 2024 at Mpingwe Sports Club where a total of 400 students around Blantyre have been invited to attend and this will be followed by a night parade around the city on September 15, 2024.
Prophet Muhammad “peace be upon him” birthday celebration will reach the climax on Monday, September 16, 2024 where Muslims will hold Ziyara Parade from Kanjedza Mosque to Mpingwe Sports Club.
A total of 35,000 to 55,000 people are scheduled to attend the Ziyara Parade in Blantyre.
This year’s Ziyara Parade will be held under the theme: “Muhammad, Mercy to Mankind.”
