Chileka Public Relations Officer Sergeant Jonathan Phillipo has confirmed of the death.

According to Phillipo reports indicate that Madeya (now deceased) was staying alone and has been sick for a long time.

Sergeant Phillipo said Madeya was found in his house dead by his father after several visits when he together with his neighbours broke his house after becoming suspicious.

Postmortem examination has revealed that the death was due to suffocation secondary to strangulation.

Wilfred Madeya, hailed from Ntusa Village, Traditional Authority Lundu in Blanytre District.
