The Deputy Police Public Relations Officer for the Central Region, Sub Inspector Foster Benjamin, confirmed that the Zambian nationals—Thomas Banda and Siangali Micky—along with Obakeng Thabo from South Africa, were arrested.
These individuals are suspected of being involved in criminal activities in Chipata and Lundazi, Zambia.
According to Benjamin, on September 10 of this year, the group, along with others, attempted to rob the Indo Zambia Bank. However, their attempt failed.
The following day, police were informed that the suspects, who had been in the area, were seen in different locations within the district.
The police managed to arrest three of the suspects, but the fourth suspect, Isaac Nyoni from Zimbabwe, escaped.
