Chakwera appoints General Peter Andrew Lapken Namathanga as Malawi Ambassador to Zimbabwe

President Lazarus Chakwera has appointed General Peter Andrew Lapken Namathanga (Retired) as Malawi’s new Ambassador to Zimbabwe.
Namathanga replaces McLloyd Polepole who has been reassigned as a Principal Secretary at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
His appointment awaits confirmation from the Public Appointments Committee (PAC) of Parliament, in line with section 190 of the Constitution of the Republic of Malawi.
