Livingstonia University (UNILIA) student Edward Kavabingu is today scheduled to appear before the court in Mzuzu for allegedly exposing lecturer who was offering good Grades to female students in exchange for grades.
Social media influencer Julius Zimwanda Mithi has confirmed of the development in a statement posted on his official facebook page.
“UNILIA Student Edward Kavabingu Who Alleged that a Lecturer who is also a Magistrate that he is giving Grades to Female students at UNILIA for Sex is appearing in the court this morning, All Media houses are invited. Let us stop impunity in Malawi,” wrote Mithi.
Kavabingu was released on bail following an intervention by Justice Dingiswayo Madise SC on Wednesday.
It is said that the lecturer who is also a Magistrate quashed Kavabingu’s bail and remanded the student to Mzuzu Prison for two weeks.
