The Lusaka Division Police in Zambia have arrested 136 individuals, including eight women, as part of an ongoing crackdown on criminal elements in the city.
Police Public Relations Officer Rae Hamoonga confirmed the arrests, stating that the operation targeted various hotspots, including the Bombay Drainage along Burma Road, the ZESCO Flyover Bridge along Great East Road, and the Misisi Flyover Bridge.
Hamoonga urged the public to cooperate with the police in their efforts to combat crimes perpetrated by notorious junkies, who have been causing distress to innocent citizens. He assured that the operation will continue until law and order are restored in the city.
