Minibus drivers in Zomba has today staged a protest at the Eastern Region Police headquarters in the district, after one of their colleagues was fatally shot by police yesterday on Sunday at 4 Miles.

The drivers, carrying placards, marched to the station demanding justice for their fallen colleague identified as as Zakeyu Matekenya.

The incident has sparked outrage among the drivers, who accuse the police of using excessive force. The circumstances surrounding the shooting are still unclear, but authorities have promised to launch an investigation into the matter.
