A 26 year old man of Nakambala compound in Mazabuka District in Zambbia is nursing serious injuries after his lower jaw was cut with a knife by his wife.
The husband has been identified as Titus Cheelo who was attacked by his wife Precious Chilimuka aged 24 after she came back from a drinking spree around 03:00hrs.
Southern Province Commissioner of Police Auxensio Daka has confirmed the accident and said it has occurred yesterday on Monday 23 September 2024.
According to Daka, the wife came home late from a drinking spree, when the husband woke up to open the door for her and upon entering, the wife got a knife from the bra and attacked the husband.
The victim sustained a cut on the lower left jaw, some bruises on the right arm, and general body pains.
Daka says the victim is admitted in Mazabuka General Hospital and the condition is critical and to be referred to the University Teaching Hospital-UTH
Acting on the report, Police issued a medical report form and docket opened. Arrest made as the wife has since been arrested.
