Some United Democratic Front (UDF) supporters have protested against the idea of inviting the Malawi Congress Party (MCP) to its major meeting.

This was expressed through discussions shared on social media, suggesting that the two parties are in a collaboration that could undermine other parties seeking to join the alliance.

UDF spokesperson Yusuf Mwawa acknowledged awareness of the situation and promised to provide more details at a press conference scheduled for today.

Meanwhile, MCP spokesperson Jessie Kabwira stated to another news outlet that her party has not received any invitation to this meeting.

The UDF is set to hold its major meeting at the Comesa Hall in Blantyre on the 2nd and 3rd of next month.
