Former Democratic Progressive Party (DPP) Secretary General Grezelder Jeffrey has asked Malawi Congress Party (MCP) Secretary General Richard Chimwendo Banda to offer former President Peter Mutharika an area chairman post ahead of the forthcoming 2025 polls.
Jeffrey said this during a rally organized by MCP SG Richard Chimwendo Banda who is also Minister of Local government and Unity.
While making fun of DPP SG Peter Mukhito’s slip of the tongue, Jefrey wa Jefrey said her claims that some her Children from DPP are on the verge of joining MCP.
“Pomwe ine amandilandila a President Dr. Lazarus Chakwera ku area 24 ku Lilongwe ndinanena kuti ndikubwela ndi ana ndi azukulu. Ndipo zulo m’modzi mwa ana wavomeleza ku mpanga endorse Chakwera kuti apitilize kulamula. Simunaone ma clip..? Wanena kuti ifeyo ku convention yathu tapanga endorse a Chakwera. Chifukwa anena kuti a Mutharika abwele ku MCP nde poti maudinndo akuluakulu akwana kale a Mutharika muwapase u area chairman malingana ndi size yawo,” said Jefrey while attracting ululations from the supporters.
Jefrey wa Jefrey joined MCP together with Dr. Hetherwick Ntaba, Emran Mtenje and others.
