Atupele Muluzi, son to former Malawi President, Dr. Bakili Muluzi will go unopposed at the elective conference of the United Democratic Front (UDF).
Chairperson of the elective conference, Aisha Adams who is also Second Deputy Speaker revealed this during media briefing in Blantyre.
According to Adams, the young Muluzi is the only person who has shown interest to contest for the post of President in UDF at the elective conference slated for October 2, 2024 at Comesa Hall.
Muluzi resigned from UDF just after the fresh 2020 Presidential polls which saw President Dr. Lazarus Chakwera emerging victorious.
The young Muluzi left the party in the hands of Lilian Patel.
