Senior Resident Magistrate Court in Mwanza has convicted and sentenced a 34 year-old man to 11 year imprisonment for defiling a 6o year old woman.
The convict has been identified as Ongolani Charles and is believed to commit the offence in the mid of September 2024.
It is reported that, during the date stated above, Ongolani was arrested on 17 September after being accused of allegedly defiling an old married woman after they both get drunk at a certain drinking spree in the district.
Appearing in court, Senior Magistrate Steve Mchenga found Ongolani not innocent and ordered him spend his 11 years in prison with hard labor for doing such unthinkable act.
