Chimwemwe Kanyenda has been appointed as Chief Operations Officer for NICO Life Insurance Company effective September 6, 2024.
The company has confirmed of the development in a statement made available to this publication.
“We are excited to announce that Chimwemwe Kanyenda has been appointed as Chief Operating Officer for NICO Life. With a wealth of experience and a proven track record of excellence, Chimwemwe is set to lead NICO Life to new heights.

Chimwemwe joined NICO Group on June 1, 2011 and he held several positions in the company. In 2023 he was appointed as acting COO of NICO Life.
Chimwemwe is a certified digital finance practitioner by The Fletcher School of Law and Diplomacy at Tufts University and has a B.Ed from the University of Malawi.
As part of his personal development, Chimwemwe has completed several executive programmes at Stellenbosch Business School, University of Cape Town & Gordon Institute of Business Science in South Africa.
