In South Africa, A Nelson Mandela University student, Thandolwami Ndlovu, has tragically lost his life following a reported altercation with a residence manager.
Ndlovu was allegedly run over and killed by a car driven by the manager, a blue Mercedes Benz, which is currently the focus of an ongoing investigation.
The university has expressed shock at the incident and condemned the senseless act. The residence manager has been charged with culpable homicide, and the university is cooperating with the Humewood police station during the investigation.
In addition to the police investigation, the university will conduct its own internal investigation, in line with its Service Level Agreement with private off-campus residences.
