Brazil – A businesswoman named Viviane Monte, 24, tragically died from complications after undergoing six plastic surgeries in Sobral, Brazil. She had her procedures on August 31 and spent 20 days in intensive care before passing away just a day before her birthday.
Her boyfriend, Renan Santiago, revealed that she paid approximately $7,300 for a breast reduction, buttock fat grafting, and liposuctions on multiple areas.
Monte had long envisioned a breast reduction and recently sought fat removal from her abdomen due to perceived weight gain. Santiago explained that the doctor persuaded her to add four more surgeries, including neck liposuction, which was done free of charge.
After the surgery, she experienced severe discomfort, particularly an inability to urinate, leading her to an emergency care center where she went into cardiac arrest.
Her condition deteriorated with bacterial and fungal infections, and she ultimately suffered severe complications, including open wounds. Santiago accused the doctor of malpractice, stating, “He didn’t provide assistance … he didn’t advise her to have fewer procedures,” adding that she “had no idea” of the risks involved.
The Ceará State Department of Public Safety is currently investigating Monte’s death.
