A man identified as Tupac Justin, 47, from Mangochi district has been sentenced to one year in prison with hard labor and fined K100,000 for possessing medical drugs and accessories without proper documentation.

According to Amina Tepani Daudi Spokesperson for Mangochi police, police intercepted a minibus carrying six cartons of Cremora milk that actually contained K5 million worth of medical supplies.

Daudi said the driver of the vehicle led police to Tupac’s house, where 70 bottles of Ketamine injectable fluid were found.

Meanwhile, the magistrate court has ordered Tupac to pay a fine of K100,000 or face six months imprisonment, and that all seized medical supplies should be forfeited to the government.
