ZIMBABWE – In the town of Chiredzi, a 26-year-old man named Katanga Mairos was in a relationship with Kotai, a 47-year-old secretary.
Although their age gap raised eyebrows, Katanga felt secure in their bond—until one October morning. He arrived at Kotai’s house at 7 AM to surprise her, only to find her in bed with his friend, Prosper.
Shocked and hurt, he snatched the blanket and left, feeling betrayed.
Later that day, he saw Kotai and Prosper at a local bar, laughing together, which fueled his anger.
He confronted Kotai at her house, demanding to know if she was cheating with Prosper.
Despite her insistence that she wasn’t, Katanga lost control and struck her multiple times, leaving her injured.
Kotai reported the incident to the police, leading to Katanga’s arrest and a 10-month jail sentence.
