An angry mob from Mtalimanja village in, Mangochi district havekilled 49-year-old on suspicion of stealing various items in the village
Public Relations Officer for Mangochi police spokesperson, Amina Tepani Daudi, has confirmed the incident and identified the deceased as George Chawezi.
“We have launched an investigation to arrest those responsible for this crime. Remember, taking the law into your own hands is a criminal offense, “said Daudi
Meanwhile, Daud has also stated that Chawezi was a repeat offender who had previously been arrested on three different charges.
