The demonstrations the Centre for Democracy and Economic Development Initiatives (CDEDI) are set to take place from October 24 to October 30 this month.

According to the group’s leader, Sylvester Namiwa, the protests in Ntcheu will start on October 29 at the site where the late Dr. Saulos Chilima was laid to rest, where there will be prayers followed by the submission of a letter to the president of the country.

They stated that the dates for the protests have been adjusted to allow other groups that also wish to participate in the demonstrations.

The organization aims to hold these protests in order to pressure the country’s leader, Dr. Lazarus Chakwera, to establish a commission of inquiry to thoroughly investigate the plane crash that occurred in the Chikangawa forest in June this year.
