A man accused of a violent, random assault on a 56-year-old woman along the Schuylkill River Trail in Philadelphia has been arrested.

The woman was taking photos when the suspect, identified as 24-year-old Davine Butler, attacked her.

Philadelphia Police report that Butler threw the woman to the ground, stole her phone, and repeatedly punched her before fleeing the scene. Officers were alerted near the South Street ramp, where they apprehended the suspect.

The victim was taken to a hospital for treatment, and though Butler is in custody, charges are yet to be announced. The investigation remains ongoing.
