Today, Minister of Information Moses Kunkuyu will lead a press conference organized to address issues related to fuel shortages. The conference is expected to take place at 1:30 PM at the Bingu International Convention Centre (BICC) in Lilongwe, according to the announcement.

In addition to Kunkuyu, the head of the Malawi Energy Regulatory Authority (MERA), Henry Kachaje, and the National Oil Company of Malawi (NOCMA) head, Clement Kanyama, will also be present at the press conference.

In recent days, there have been long queues at fuel stations due to the shortage. Meanwhile, a trainload of diesel fuel arrived at NOCMA’s Kanengo Depot this morning.

The train, consisting of 15 wagons, carried 590,000 liters of diesel.
