Principal Resident Magistrate Rodrick Michongwe has granted bail to United Transformation Movement (UTM) Secretary Patricia Kaliati.
Michongwe denied the request to detain Kaliati for seven more days as request by the state.
Kaliati is being accused of conspiring to kill President Dr. Lazarus Chakwera together with two other accused who are currently at large.
UTM Secretary General is said to have attempted to commit the said crime between May and June this year.
Kaliati has opted to remain silent on the matter.
