The National Registration Bureau (NRB) has complied with the High Court order by opening additional centres to assist Malawians who may have not yet registered with the bureau.

Last week, the High Court order Malawi Electoral Commission (MEC) to be conducting registration side by side with the NRB.

In a statement NRB Principal Secretary Mphatso Sambo said the bureau will comply with court order to ensure inclusion by registering eligible Malawians and be issued with a unique ID and proof of registration.

“NRB will, as a matter of urgency, open additional centres to assist Malawians who may have not yet registered for the National IS, to register and be issued with a Unique ID and proof of registration,” reads in part the statement.
