Renowned Malawian musicians Gwamba and Mic Mash have awarded a full scholarship to Collins Mtambo, a student at Chipasula Secondary School in Lilongwe, for his outstanding academic performance in last year’s Form 4 exams, where he achieved 12 points, outshining his peers.

According to Mic Mash, this scholarship which has come under Broken Crayons campaigmeans that Collins will have his entire school education fully funded, along with mentorship support from both artists to guide him through his academic journey.

“This fulfills a promise Gwamba and I made last year at this school—to fund the studies of the top-performing student,” said Mic Mash.

During the scholarship ceremony, Gwamba and Mic Mash, who recently released their song Super Star Remix, also pledged to extend their scholarship support to university studies for next year’s top-performing Form 4 student at Chipasula Secondary. The ceremony was attended by another acclaimed artist, Praise Umali, who joined them in celebrating this educational milestone.
