Agriculture Committee of Parliament has expressed fear that the fuel crisis will affect the implementation of this year’s Affordable Input Program.

The concern is coming at a time the country is experiencing a fuel shortage which has negatively affected a lot of operations in the country.

Chairperson of the Committee Sameer Suleman has said that the fuel crisis is likely going to affect the implementation of the AIP program.

He has since called on government to expedite processes of restoring fuel availability in the country.

Meanwhile, the Department of Climate Change has revealed that some parts of the country, particularly in the south, will start receiving main rains mid-November, 2024.

This is according to Yobu Kachiwanda Spokesperson for the Department of Climate Change and Meteorological Services.
