Businessman identified as Busuman Nyondo is in critical condition at Mzuzu Central Hospital after his wife allegedly poured hot water on him.

The wife reportedly fled the scene following the incident and remains at large.

Police and hospital authorities have yet to issue statements regarding the case as investigations continue.
